In the 1980's, SPW pioneered the satellite simulcasting of U.S. thoroughbred racing to the Caribbean islands when SPW began providing live television pictures from Florida to off-track-betting parlors in Barbados. Within a few years, harness and greyhound tracks were added.
SPW works closely with the tracks and race books to establish a relationship, maintain quality of product and ensure the interests of both parties are served.
Today, many North American horse and greyhound tracks are simulcast to the region, and SPW serves more than 40 OTB operations in Barbados, Bermuda, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago. For information on available signals contact SPW.
