Colleagues go the extra mile to support Alzheimer’s Research UK

Colleagues across our business stepped up to the challenge in February, coming together to support our charity partner, Alzheimer’s Research UK, through the 28 Miles in February fundraising event.

Throughout the month, more than 17 colleagues committed to covering 28 miles in their own way, whether walking, running or cycling, all while raising vital funds to support life‑changing research into dementia. Some went even further, with colleagues completing their miles weekly or tackling the full 28 miles in a single day.

Thanks to the incredible commitment of everyone who took part, and the generosity of those who donated, we’re proud to have raised over £1,900 for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

A team effort with a big impact

The challenge brought colleagues together across teams, encouraging people to stay active while supporting a cause that resonates with so many. One team of eight colleagues collectively covered 313 miles, exceeding their original target and raising an impressive £839 between them.

For many, the motivation to take part was deeply personal. Colleagues shared how supporting clients, friends, and family members affected by dementia inspired them to get involved, alongside the opportunity to improve their own wellbeing and spend more time being active.

As one participant shared:

Others spoke about the challenge as a chance to push themselves physically, from rediscovering a love of cycling to completing half marathons and braving February’s unpredictable weather - all in support of an important cause.

Thank you to everyone who supported

We’re incredibly grateful to every colleague who took part, donated, shared encouragement, or helped spread the word. Their efforts are helping Alzheimer’s Research UK continue their vital work to better understand, diagnose, and ultimately find a cure for dementia.
