Building a personalised financial plan
We want working with us to be simple. No endless meetings, no piles of paperwork, no initial cost for just talking to us.
We’ll create a personalised financial plan for you after as little as three hours spent with an adviser.
Your financial plan could be just four steps away.

Step 1. Initial conversation
15—30 minutes
Our first conversation will take place over the phone or via video call. We’ll discuss your current situation, your dreams for the future, and what you hope to achieve with your wealth.
There's no need to do anything to prepare for this call. It’s just a chance for us to get to know each other.

Step 2. Financial planning appointment
1—1.5 hours
You’ll meet with one of our Personal Wealth Advisers, either in person or via video call. They’ll spend time understanding you and your financial goals in more detail. Where it is relevant for your planning they can also create a visual timeline to show you what your financial future could look like, explaining everything in simple terms.
To help our advisers assess your financial situation fully, you’ll need to bring any relevant paperwork with you to this meeting. We’ll provide details on what you’ll need before your appointment.

Step 3. Presenting your financial plan
1 hour
In your next meeting, your adviser will present your personalised financial plan and recommendations, along with associated costs. You still won’t pay anything unless you decide to go ahead with our recommendations.
Before doing so, they’ll recap your previous discussion to ensure your situation hasn’t changed. If needed, they may bring in additional experts—such as trust or investment specialists—to address any specific questions you may have.

Step 4. Putting your plan into action
When you’re happy with your financial plan, we’ll put it into action. You'll be in control with MY SPW, our secure web and mobile app. You’ll be able to view the value of your investments, access important documents, and view your advice team contact details.
At this point, your Adviser will recommend either one-off or ongoing advice. They will explain the benefits of each to you and the rationale for their recommendation to allow you to make an informed decision.
If you go ahead with our Ongoing Advice Service, we’ll be here throughout your financial journey when you need us to make sure your plan stays on track.
