SPW: Making a difference in 2025

At Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW), we’re committed to making a real difference in the communities we serve. In 2025, our colleagues came together with passion and generosity, to support charities and local causes, surpassing ambitious goals and making a real impact across the UK.

Exceeding ambitious goals

At the start of the year, we set out to raise £100,000 for charities and collectively volunteer 1,500 hours. Thanks to the dedication of our people, we surpassed both goals - raising over £178,000 for charities (including fundraising, matched giving and payroll giving) and contributing more than 1,800 volunteering hours. These achievements reflect the spirit of teamwork and compassion that defines our culture.

Volunteering highlights

Over 120 colleagues took part in volunteering events, supporting a wide range of causes.

Teams revitalised community spaces, supported vulnerable groups, and brought festive cheer to care home residents. Notable projects included:

  • Painting and gardening at care homes and community centres in London, Manchester, Leeds, and beyond.
  • Supporting charities like Leeds Autism Services, The River, and Silk Court Care Home.
  • Organising local clean-ups and litter picking days.

One standout story saw a team’s gardening efforts at a care home contribute to an award for the best communal garden, demonstrating the ripple effect of small acts of kindness.

Fundraising successes

SPW’s fundraising efforts were equally inspiring. Our colleagues took on challenges big and small, from marathons to cycling adventures:

  • Cycle Albania Challenge: A team cycled 400km across Albania, raising over £81,000 for our charity partner, Alzheimer’s Research UK.
  • Team fundraising: Colleagues completed half marathons, long-distance walks, and hikes, raising thousands for charities including Walking With The Wounded and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
  • Individual fundraisers: From running the Bath Half Marathon for Voices of Aphasia to cycling from London to Amsterdam for Skylarks, our people supported causes close to their hearts.

Celebrating a culture of giving

These achievements are a testament to the passion and generosity of SPW colleagues. Every hour volunteered and every pound raised has helped change lives. As we look to the future, we remain committed to supporting our communities and making a positive difference together.
