SPW are champions for change

Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW) are proud to be accredited members of the Good Business Charter (GBC), which recognises organisations that actively display responsible business behaviour for the benefit of people and the planet.

This month, we were thrilled to be asked to participate in the GBC’s ‘Good Business Fortnight’.

We also received the ‘Embedding Responsible Business Award’ at the GBC’s recent awards ceremony.

What is the Good Business Charter?

The Charter measures an organisations behaviour over ten components that are designed to recognise commitment to good business practice and inspire organisations to change behaviour. Our accreditation confirms that we have met the requirements and evidenced our progress in line with all ten of these components.

Keeping us accountable to responsible business practice

Take a look at our continued efforts to ensure we’re acting in good faith towards our employees, the environment and our clients:

• Fair Tax Mark (2022): We received this highly regarded, robust, independent accreditation that recognises businesses paying the right amount of corporation tax at the right time and place, willingly, fairly, and transparently. We’re delighted to announce that we have recently been reaccredited for a fourth consecutive year!

• Armed Forces Covenant (2021): We signed the Armed Forces covenant in December 2021 and set ourselves the challenge to achieve Gold status within five years. In September 2023, we achieved the Gold Award under the Employer Recognition Scheme ahead of time thanks to our continued commitment to those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families.

• Inclusive Employers Standard (2024): We proudly achieved the Bronze Award.

• Real Living Wage Employer: SPW is accredited, meaning every colleague and third-party contracted staff earn a real living wage.

• Disability Confident Employer: We are delighted to hold this accreditation.

• The Good Business Charter: We are accredited members, showcasing our commitment to responsible business practices.

Since becoming Good Business Charter accredited in 2021, we have remained dedicated to creating a positive impact for our clients, colleagues and communities, and sharing our progress in our annual Responsible Business Report.
