Understanding SPW and SPW (ACD):

Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW) is a joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group plc and Schroders plc, created to provide expert wealth management services. Within SPW Holdings, there are two distinct entities:

  • SPW: This entity provides personalised financial advice through a nationwide team of over 300 advisers. They work closely with clients to develop tailored financial plans aimed at achieving their unique goals. This may include investing in one of our SPW funds to help grow and protect wealth.
  • SPW (ACD): This is the entity you are client of. SPW (ACD) is responsible for managing and overseeing the SPW Funds. As a direct investor, you do not receive financial advice from us, but you can request a referral to SPW if you wish to explore advisory services. It is important to understand that SPW and SPW (ACD) operate independently and maintain separate client records.

Accessing your secure online portal

Your online portal is a secure and convenient way to stay on top of your investments. With just a few clicks, you can view up-to-date details of your holdings, check your transaction history and income distributions, and keep your personal information up to date—all in one place.

If you haven’t activated your portal yet, it’s quick and easy to get started.

Why do I need to update my password every 90 days for my online portal access?

We understand that regular password updates can feel like an extra step, and some of you raised this in our recent client survey. At SPW (ACD), your security is our top priority. Updating your password every 90 days is a simple but important way to help protect your personal and financial information. It’s part of our commitment to keeping your account safe and follows best practice guidance from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and international security standards.

Providing your bank details

To receive income payments and sales proceeds promptly and securely, we recommend that you provide us with your bank details to allow us to send payments via bank transfer. 

If you haven't already provided your bank details, please do so via our secure online portal or alternatively, you can call a member of our team on +44 (0) 344 822 8910. Our lines are open from 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday. 

We’ve heard your feedback regarding the limited payment options available to you when sending money to us to invest. We continue to explore ways we can address this.

Service adjustments – Tailored to you

At SPW (ACD) we understand that every investor’s needs are different, and they may change over time. If you require any adjustments to the way we communicate with you or deliver our services – whether this is due to accessibility requirements, visual adjustments (such as larger font size or Braille), or personal circumstances – please let us know as we will be able to ensure all communications moving forward are in a format that you are most comfortable with. We’re here to ensure your experience is smooth and inclusive.

Lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays. Calls may be monitored and recorded and call costs may vary depending on your service provider.

There are no hidden fees or charges, and you’ll only pay if you choose to go ahead with the recommendations in your personalised financial plan.

Keeping your information up to date

To ensure we can continue providing the highest level of service, please let us know of any changes to your contact information, banking details, personal circumstances and marketing preferences.

This will help us make sure:

  • You receive regular communications and updates.
  • We can make payments to you safely and quickly. Providing us with your bank details ensures income payments and sales proceeds can be sent directly to your nominated bank account – minimising delays, reducing risk, and ensuring your funds reach you securely and efficiently.
  • We can provide you with the best service possible for you. We can offer service adjustments should your needs change over time.
